About the Book

Just believing that Jesus died for our sins; is that all there is to having eternal life and going to heaven? Is all Jesus wants from us is to just be a good person and treat others with respect? After all, Christians aren’t perfect, just forgiven.

How do you know that you will see Jesus in heaven, if you’re not wanting to practice Jesus’ character while here on earth?

In the gospel of John chapter 15. John chronicles Jesus’ last night on earth teaching his disciples. Jesus Christ, Facing Death: Jesus was facing the most terrible scene in all human history. The Son of God was about to be murdered at the hands of men. All that He had to face was weighing ever so heavily upon His mind, in particular the reaction of everyone to Him and their fate. He had come to save them all, and few were responding in a genuine way. He was even facing the collapse of His own inner circle. Most tragically they were falling away.

As Jesus’ apprentices, He enables us to understand our lives and see how we can interact with God’s redemptive resources, ever at hand. This in turn gives us an increasing freedom from failed intentions as we learn from Him how to, simply, do what we know to be right. By a practiced abiding in His words, we come to know the truth, and the truth does surely make us free (John 8:36). We are able to do the good we intend.”
